About Klaipėda

Klaipėda serves as Lithuania's only major seaport and the busiest port in the Baltic states. The city is the third-largest in Lithuania and the fifth-largest in the Baltic region, making it a significant hub for Baltic cruises.

The port sits within easy reach of Klaipėda's Old Town, where you'll find several attractions clustered nearby. Theatre Square, rated 4.7 out of 5, draws visitors with its historic character. For something more quirky, the Mermaid Klaipėda sculpture and Old Town Cat statue both sit less than half a kilometre from the terminal. The Magical Mouse and Sculpture "Tower" are similarly close by.

Getting Around and Exploring

Walking tours depart regularly from the area, rated 4.9 out of 5, offering an introduction to the Old Town's layout and history. The Fountain with Seals provides another focal point for exploration. Most attractions lie within 1.1 kilometres of the port, making them accessible on foot during a port call.

Klaipėda connects easily to other Baltic ports including Copenhagen, Gdańsk, Helsinki, Kiel, Riga and Stockholm, making it a natural stop on wider Baltic itineraries.

Klaipėda is a city in Lithuania on the Baltic Sea coast. It is the third-largest city in Lithuania, the fifth-largest city in the Baltic states, the capital of Klaipėda County, the only major seaport in the country and the busiest port in the Baltic states.
