About Málaga
Málaga welcomes cruise passengers during the warmer months from April through October, when Southern Spain enjoys consistent sunshine and pleasant Mediterranean weather. The port sits in the heart of this Andalusian capital, putting major attractions within easy reach on foot.
The city centre clusters remarkable sights just a short walk from the dock. The Alcazaba fortress (0.5 km away) and the Cathedral Basílica de la Encarnación both rate 4.6 stars, whilst the Museo Picasso Málaga offers world-class art just 0.6 km distant. History enthusiasts can also visit the Castillo de Gibralfaro at 0.9 km, which rates 4.5 stars. For a gentler pace, Málaga Park and the Palmeral de Las Sorpresas provide green spaces within 0.3 km of the terminal.
Getting around Málaga
With attractions concentrated so close to the port, most visitors explore on foot. La Farola de Málaga, a prominent historical landmark, stands just 0.3 km away and serves as a useful orientation point for navigating the waterfront district.
Málaga forms part of Western Mediterranean cruises, connecting to ports including Barcelona, Cannes and Cagliari.
