About Geiranger
Geiranger is a small tourist village located at the end of Geirangerfjorden, a branch of the large Storfjorden in Norway's Sunnmøre region. The village sits in Stranda Municipality in the western part of the country, with Ålesund as the nearest city.
The area is known for spectacular scenery. Since 2005, the Geirangerfjord area has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors will find seven attractions within close proximity to the port, all rated highly by reviewers. Flydalsjuvet is a scenic point just 1.4 km away with a 4.8 rating. Fossevandring Geiranger and the Norwegian Fjord Centre are both within walking distance at 0.4 km and 0.5 km respectively. Additional attractions include Storsæterfossen, Dronning Sonjas stol sculpture, and two waterfall viewpoints.
