About Akureyri

Akureyri is a town in northern Iceland and the country's fifth most populous municipality. The largest settlement outside the Capital Region, it serves as a gateway to Iceland's north, positioned at the head of Eyjafjörður with access to nearby islands including Hrísey and Grímsey.
